Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Council(RC&D)
The Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Council (RC&D) is a locally-led not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization active in rural Southwest Georgia. The Council consists of action-oriented volunteers and community leaders. Council members identify problems, develop strategies and implement beneficial projects. As a steering committee and action team, the members implement the Council's Area Plan, a strategic, long-range plan designed to improve the quality of life in the communities in the RC&D area. The Council actively adopts and implements projects in Southwest Georgia that enrich communities while protecting natural resources. Some of the projects within which the Council has been actively involved include: The Spring Creek Watershed Partnership, Targeting our Aquifers Program (Taps), Georgia Cooperative Development Center, and the Household Water Well Systems Loan Program.
